Confluence Parking
Located in the historic heart of Namur, at the confluence of the Sambre and the Meuse rivers, the new Confluence car park boasts four levels of underground parking, with three levels located below the waterline. With a total of 670 car spaces, including 132 reserved for the Walloon Parliament, it is the largest car park in the Walloon capital.
The Confluence car park is designed to be comfortable, functional, accessible to all, intelligent, and environmentally friendly. The parking bays are very spacious, ranging from 2.20m to 2.40m, and 19 of them are reserved for people with reduced mobility. The slots are arranged in rows without columns, and there are electric charging stations available for use. In addition, there are 53 bicycle spaces and 20 motorbike spaces, a locker room with 48 lockers, multimedia screens that broadcast tourist information and exhibition displays, as well as sanitary facilities and public toilets.
The car park is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including a plate recognition system, an online booking system, and internet access. The infrastructure is CO2-neutral certified, demonstrating its commitment to the environment.
Building the Confluence car park was a technical feat, given its location. Anti-flood devices with mechanical obstacles were installed to protect the structure, and in the event of an exceptional flood, level -4 can be submerged to ensure the stability of the construction.

TPF Engineering worked on this project as a design office for technical building services and structural engineering, from the first phases of the permit to provisional and final acceptance.
